Imperial Toy Company

My Valentines Day gift to Zieak this year involved gumballs. Many many gumballs. 365 to be exact. I knew I was not going to be able to purchase that amount here in Petersburg, but at the drugstore we had these little starter packages. There was only one left, but I figured it would help get me started. Especially because on the back it said "serving size: 1 piece. servings per container: about 125." I would already have a third of what I needed! I should also add the "gumballs made in canada. packaging made in china. assembled in mexico." I wasn't too sure about the accuracy though, it just did not seem like over 100 gumballs could fit in that little plastic dome. Sure enough, after opening the package and counting them out, I discovered that there were only 68 gumballs. Liars! Some translation somewhere between the 3 countries it took to make this got messed up. I looked them up on the internet, and emailed my disappointment over the false advertising. Sure, it was only $2.39, but it could have been $2.39 spent by an excited child expecting 125 gumballs to fill their machine they got for christmas. I was impressed by the quick response from an employee of Imperial Toy Co, who apologized for the mistake on their part and asked for my address so that she could send me some replacements. When the package finally arrived, it looked exactly the same except for the corrected information, this time stating "serving size: 2 pieces. servings per container: about 28." They also said "gumballs made in USA and packaging made in china." Poor canada and mexico - I hope I didn't lose them too much in labor costs.
