Mouths of babes

Quite possibly the cutest thing my ears have ever heard...

Father and son are out shopping for a gift for mothers day. The son is probably 7 or 8, and he is obsessed with the skirts and dresses.
Father: "How 'bout we just get her a smelly candle? Mom likes smelly candles."
Son: [a very firm] "NO. I want to get something for her to look pretty. Even though she still looks pretty in a sweatshirt."

Awwwww! Way to go dad!
